Ciao Bella! Beaches Turks & Caicos’ New Italian Village Debuts

PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos, January 20, 2009 – Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa officially opened the doors on January 20, 2009 to its brand new $125 million expansion, the ItalianVillage. Featuring 162 luxury family suites, this is the most significant expansion project undertaken to date by Sandals Resorts International, parent company of Beaches Resorts and demonstrates the company’s commitment to exceeding customer expectations and ensuring lasting value.

“Travel is part of the American family experience, a chance to reconnect to what matters and we’re confident that families will love our brand new Italian Village at Beaches Turks & Caicos,” said Adam Stewart, CEO of Beaches Resorts. “While some resorts consider themselves familyfriendly simply because they accept family bookings, our new Italian Village, along with all of our Beaches Resorts, was designed and created expressly to meet the needs of families.”

The cornerstone of the multi-million dollar expansion, the 162 two-bedroom family suites, elevate the resort’s accommodations to an unprecedented level. Featuring the latest modern amenities, the suites provide families with a design that offers both privacy and tranquility. For parents, a separate master bedroom, complete with a sitting area and plasma TV, is lavishly decorated with a mahogany four-poster bed, luxurious linens in a coral theme and an elegant bathroom complete with Jacuzzi tub and double Carrera marble vanities. A separate kids’ room offers young visitors their own personal, unique space featuring cozy bunk beds and a plasma TV. Additionally, guests may request one of the Italian Village’s 18 “Imperial” rooms, which expand the two-bedroom suite to include separate living room and dining room areas, with additional sleeping options to accommodate larger groups and family gatherings. All Imperial suites will feature Beaches Resorts’ exclusive Butler Service.

In addition to the impressive family suites, the expansion also features a private check-in area; five additional gourmet restaurants, bringing the resort’s total to 16 eateries; a sprawling retail mecca; and brand new amenities geared towards teens including an aqua-themed nightclub, DJtraining sessions at Scratch DJ Academy and tailored spa treatments at the exclusive Red Lane® Spa. On March 15, 2009, the resort also debuted a newly renovated Pirate’s Island Waterpark, ten times its original size, including a surf simulator, lazy river and seven new waterslides.
